This is Just the Beginning

First of all I would like to thank God for giving me the strength to make it to the end of this course. I also would like to thank all of you for visiting my blog and giving me feedback. I also thank you all for doing your blogs so I would be able to complete my assignment of responding to two blogs. I really enjoyed reading the blogs and the advice that was giving to me by my colleagues. I want you all to know I will not stop until I reach my goals, if its God's will.

Code of Ethics

P-2.8
—We shall treat child assessment information
confidentially and share this information only when
there is a legitimate need for it.

I-2.4
—To listen to families, acknowledge and build upon
their strengths and competencies, and learn from
families as we support them in their task of nurturing
children.

I-1.3
—To recognize and respect the unique qualities,
abilities, and potential of each child.

In the social work field we must keep all records confidential unless court ordered to release them. If confidentiality is broken you can lose your license if you have one and even lose your job. We also always look out for the best interest of the child and try to maximize a child's fullest potential. When talking to families I must listen and give feedback to try to gain trust.
